World-class development for KwaZulu-Natal North Coast
The release of the first few parcels of land in Sibaya in the prime KwaZulu-Natal North Coastregion has been met with much anticipation and excitement. Local developers have put their hats in the ring, and the market is eagerly awaiting the outcome of the first phases of this development.

This is according to Andrew Golding, chief executive of the Pam Golding Property group, who says Pam Golding Properties, together with its UK-based global associate, Savills, has participated in feasibility studies for Tongaat Hulett Developments over the past 18 months.
“Situated in the rapidly growing and well-established northern development corridor ofDurban, the potential for this world-class development is significant and the market is poised to capitalise on the considerable opportunities presented,” says Dr Golding.
“The vision for this sought-after area meets international standards and with a reputable company like Tongaat Hulett at the helm, buyer interest is high. Our offices are receiving calls on a daily basis for end-users wishing to be part of this new coastal hub.”

Reynolds says the general sentiment is that Sibaya is set to put KZN on the international map, and for the first time, KZN will be able to rival the beautiful Mother City, Cape Town.
“We anticipate foreign interest in the area as well as strong demand from buyers in other parts of the country,” says Reynolds.
“Commuters from Johannesburg will find the area attractive because of its proximity to the airport. In addition, we expect locals to flock to Sibaya because it is close enough to Umhlanga to afford local residents a convenient lifestyle, and it will offer the security that most locals seek.”
She says the mix of homeowners will be diverse, with buyers expressing interest across all sectors of the market.
“We have already been contacted by retirees, young families, high-net-worth professionals, investors, Johannesburg business executives and international buyers. Based on the interest which we are already experiencing, the market is ripe for a development of this nature,” says Reynolds.
